International Voice/Data Telephony Software Development:
Burnettworks designed and developed a scaleable international (31 countries) data/voice solution for Otis Elevator Company. The solutions ranged from low end, (up to three phone lines) analog voice modem to high end, digital voice (T1/E1 and ISDN). The low end voice modem solution applied proprietary voice modems. An Active Template Library (ATL) application was developed for both solutions to provide methods to control telephone handset switching, channel, and resource control.
An international (12 countries) voice/data modem personal computer option card was designed and implemented for Digital Equipment Corporation using an 8051 micro controller. Each country's call progress tone detection was determined using DSP. License application test support was provided in the labs of the each country's PTT (Postes, Téléphone et Télécommunication approval agencies).
